RULES FOR GUILD CONNECTIONS FORUMS
________________________________________
Guildwarsguru.com (GwG) reserves the right to issue warnings, suspend or terminate the registration of users who refuse to comply with these rules. GwG may modify these rules from time to time and such modifications will be effective and binding on you when posted online.
Be sure you have read, acknowledged and understood the Terms and Conditions and Forum Rules before you become familiar with these rules.
Guild News and Announcements Guidelines
On occasion something significant happens to a guild that is relevant to the greater Guild Wars community. When this happens one person from the guild, usually the guild leader, will be allowed to make a post about it in the Guild News and Announcements (GNAA) forum. These posts should follow these guidelines:- The name and tag of the guild should be listed in the title of the post. For example, “Xen of Onslaught [XoO] Announces Change of Leadership.”
- Announcements will be items of genuine interest to others in the community, and not just delineations of accomplishments or veiled attempts to recruit.
- No flaming of individuals or guilds will be tolerated in these posts.
- Each guild will be limited to making an announcement no more than once per month.
Recruiting and Looking for Guild Guidelines
- Each player or guild is allowed to have one open post per Recruiting or looking for guild (LFG) forum at any one time.
- Posts will be automatically removed after two weeks, at which time a new post may be submitted.
- Any needed updates should be made as an edit to the original post and not in a subsequent post.
- Do not post responses to Recruiting or LFG posts. All responses are to be made via private message in order to minimize the clutter in the Guild Connection (GC) forums.
- The Recruiting and LFG forums are not for general chat, they are for matching up players and guilds. So with this in mind there is one golden guideline: Only recruiting and LFG posts are allowed in those forums.
- Flames, spam, off topic comments, etc., will not be tolerated in the Recruiting and LFG forums.
- The guild name and tag or player name (as appropriate) should be contained in the title of each post. Players may choose to use an in game name or their GwG forum name in their title. For example:
“Servants of Fortuna [SoF] Recruiting HA Players”
“Billiard Looking For GvG Guild”
Each post should contain the following:
- In game name for recruiter or player.
- Type of guild/player being sought. Be as specific as possible.
- Any specific requirements, such as required rank, titles, etc.
